Privacy & consent notice

A clear record of how RakshaNest uses your personal data.

Notice version: rakshanest-privacy-2026-09 · Effective: 11 September 2026. This notice applies to personal data collected through the RakshaNest website, enquiry forms, customer account and related support routes.

1. Who operates this website

Mr. Virendra Singh, operating the personal brand RakshaNest, is responsible for the personal data collected through this website to the extent applicable under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and rules or notifications in force. RakshaNest is an individual insurance advisor brand and enquiry/appointment platform. It is not an insurer, corporate agent, broker, web aggregator or independent comparison platform. It does not issue policies, underwrite risk, collect premiums or make binding insurer decisions.

Current public scope is limited to the advisor's documented appointments: Axis Max Life Insurance for life-insurance discussions and Niva Bupa Health Insurance for health-insurance discussions. Policy documents, underwriting, claims, payments and insurer servicing remain subject to the relevant insurer's official process and privacy notice.

2. Personal data we collect

At the first enquiry stage we may collect your name, age, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, protection area, dependants response, budget range, existing-cover response, preferred language, preferred contact channel, consent choices and campaign details such as source or UTM values. A signed-in customer may also provide account credentials and profile information.

Please do not submit medical records, Aadhaar/PAN, bank or card details, passwords, full policy documents or other sensitive material in the public form or WhatsApp chat. We will request additional information only through an appropriate authorised insurer process when it is necessary.

3. Why we use it

  • To record, acknowledge and respond to an enquiry or support request.
  • To display the educational protection scorecard requested by you.
  • To arrange an appointment or share relevant next steps for an authorised insurer engagement.
  • To create and secure a customer account when you choose to register.
  • To link and display verified policy records requested for your own account reference.
  • To manage consent, opt-outs, complaints, data-rights requests, audit records, security and legal obligations.
  • To measure first-party campaign performance only when separate analytics consent is given.

4. Consent, contact and withdrawal

WhatsApp and email contact permissions are separate. The website records the selected channel, consent timestamp, consent wording version and privacy-notice version. Analytics consent is separate from contact consent. Creating a customer account does not by itself mean that you consent to marketing.

You may withdraw contact permission at any time by replying STOP on WhatsApp, asking us to stop through email or WhatsApp, or submitting the withdraw-contact request. A matched opt-out pauses future automated follow-ups. Withdrawal does not require us to erase records that must be retained for a transaction, complaint, audit, insurer, security or legal purpose.

5. Educational protection scorecard

The scorecard is an educational protection indicator calculated only from the answers entered in the form. It is not a policy recommendation, financial advice, medical assessment, underwriting decision, suitability assessment, approval signal, guarantee or ranking of insurers or policies. A higher number does not mean better coverage, approval or claim outcome. You may request correction of the inputs or an explanation through the support route.

6. Sharing and service providers

Access is limited to the advisor's authorised workspace and service providers needed to host the application, protect it, send a consented message or operate the account. Where you ask to proceed, relevant information may be shared through the applicable insurer's authorised channel. We do not sell or rent your personal data. No advertising pixel or remarketing audience is enabled by default; any future measurement or remarketing will require separate consent and approved configuration.

7. Retention

The default enquiry retention schedule is 365 days after creation or the last documented activity, subject to a documented extension where an applicable law, insurer record requirement, transaction, complaint, audit, security event or dispute requires longer retention. Account, verified-policy and audit records may be retained for the period needed for account servicing, legal compliance and dispute handling. When the purpose and retention requirement end, data is deleted, anonymised or securely restricted. The advisor reviews deletion requests individually where another retention duty applies.

8. Your requests and rights

You can request access to a copy of your personal data, correction of inaccurate information, deletion review, withdrawal of consent and grievance handling. Signed-in customers can download an account export and submit a deletion or correction request. Use the support and grievance form; we may verify identity before acting and will explain any lawful reason for retaining information.

9. Children and account security

The customer account and scorecard are intended for adults. Do not create an account or submit another person's information without lawful authority or, where applicable, a parent or guardian process. Keep your password and one-time verification code confidential. We will never ask for your password or OTP in a public chat. Sessions expire after inactivity, and suspicious activity may be blocked and recorded for security.

10. Security and incidents

Reasonable technical and organisational controls are used, including encrypted password hashing, secure session cookies, rate limiting, access controls, audit logs, consent records and controlled provider configuration. No internet transmission is risk-free. If a data incident requires notice under applicable law, we will follow the applicable notification process.

11. Official references and insurer routes

For policy wording, premium payment, claims, renewals, free-look rights, servicing or underwriting, use the relevant insurer's official channel. You may also review the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the IRDAI policyholder-protection regulations.

12. Contact

For privacy, consent withdrawal, score correction or data-rights requests, contact Mr. Virendra Singh through RakshaNest WhatsApp Business at +91 95600 18684 or use the support and grievance form.
